The heat index here in Western KY was 112 degrees. 🥵
I hadn’t been outside in my flower bed for several days. Tonight I went out and snipped some blooms off of the mini limelight hydrangea that we planted to honor our 1st grandson’s birth in 2024. We planted another one this year for our 2nd grandson’s birth but no blooms on it yet. I also managed to gather up a few Zinnias for a small bouquet. Stuff is starting to dry up and look wrinkly out there. Makes me sad. 😢

I’d been out of town for a few days but as soon as I got home I went straight to my Zinnia garden. I’m sure going to miss them when they’re all gone.

I couldn’t stand being away from my flower garden so I took some of my flower garden to school with me. 🌺🌻🌼

Tomorrow it’s back to school! Ugh!! Things change a little around here when school goes back into session and it makes me sad. The slow mornings become chaotic, porch sitting gets less and less, time in the garden starts to diminish and pool time with our grandbabies slows down. We’ll just keep enjoy every little bit we can for as long as we can.

Tomato’s are starting to ripen up and I’m thinking that I see canning some chili starter and Rotel in my future!
