ROOT House Coffee + Shop claimed a spot with San Juan VIP as their Marketing Management in the early phases of my launch. Yet another team I’m so proud to be working with. As a professional creative, it’s difficult to allow someone else to carry out your vision the way you see & feel it to be; but these guys have been so trusting in my approach to presenting their brand. Something that helps us both produce the best results with that collective mind & creative freedom. I’m forever thankful for that trust with any client.

may not need much introduction, but for those who haven’t gotten to experience the magic…Ben & Cristi Dozier, interior designers & owners of moved their family to our beautiful little mountain town a couple years ago.
Determined to design & open the back-alley, river-front, coffee shop + speakeasy of their dreams here in Pagosa; was the result, and better than any of us could have imagined or asked for.

Wether you’re a Pagosa local or just passing through, is a MUST on everyone’s list of stops. Come experience beautifully curated coffee, cocktails, and baked goods with a riverfront view of the Hot Springs, friendly faces, and gorgeous interiors.
(If you’re drooling over anything you see in there, it’s likely available for you to take home; tables & chairs included! The baristas are off limits 😉.)

✨Then head over to HGTV to stream Ben & Cristi’s design series ‘Building Roots’, majorly filmed right here in Pagosa Springs. It’s hard not to binge, so grab a snack. You might even find some of the interior accents you love from the show in the ROOT House Shop. (Season 2 coming very soon!)✨

QUIT POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA IF…
✨You don’t love what you’re posting.
If your content doesn’t excite you, there’s a chance it won’t attract all the clientele you want, either.
Focus on the vision you have for your brand, take good photos, and compile some quality, aesthetically pleasing content to disperse in the future. It’s best to go MIA for a short bit & revamp your brand, rather than post just to post.
‘Stories’ are a great way to stay present without completely disappearing in the meantime.

✨You aren’t engaging with your audience.
Social media is a place to be, well, social. Algorithms favor accounts who make the effort to interact with their community & start meaningful, engaging conversations + content. We won’t receive what we don’t give back.
‘Like’ photos, respond to ‘Stories’, ‘comment’ or ‘caption’ with a question; get socializing!

✨Your business account & personal account are the same.
It’s encouraged you infuse the occasional ‘behind the scenes’ of your business or snippet of your everyday life; your audience undoubtedly wants to get to know you!
Although, if the main focus isn’t on your brand, the brand loses its recognizable identity.
Consider creating separate pages to keep things focused in on the right things.

✨You aren’t using hashtags.
Hashtags are the only way an outside audience beyond your followers can find you.
Take a couple hours & research popular hashtags RELEVANT to your brand & niche before your next post.
Instagram allows an entire 30 hashtags, so take the opportunity to reach every corner of people’s possible search terms if you can. Don’t forget to # your location!

7th Annual Jewels & Jeans Barn Dance—
Huge thank you to our Pagosa Rotary Club & Rotarians for inviting me to capture their 7th annual Jewels & Jeans hoedown over the weekend! Turnout for this event was at full-capacity!

There were so many smiles provided by Buckaroos Horse-Drawn Rides, live jams by the Tim Sullivan Band; even a variety of libations & great grub provided by Island Breeze Pagosa & Meltdown on Main/ Specialty Grilled Cheese Truck.

An overwhelming amount of donations were offered for this year’s event; wether it be funding, or items to donate for the silent auction. All funds which go back into our community to organize, support, & raise awareness for Pagosa’s needs and concerns.

Great times, amazing dancers, even more awesome community.
