I remember sitting at my laptop… trying to run my business while everything else needed me too.

Kids in the background, notifications going off,
trying to answer emails while also planning content and keeping everything moving.

And I thought, “If I just work a little harder, I can keep up.”

But the truth?

I wasn’t building my business in that moment.
I was just trying to hold it together.

Because no one really tells you this part—how heavy it can feel trying to do everything yourself.

Content.
Marketing.
Client work.
Home life.
All at the same time.

And if you’re anything like me…you care deeply. So you keep showing up, even when you’re stretched thin.

But here’s what I’ve learned—
The businesses that grow sustainably aren’t the ones doing everything…

They’re the ones who have support in the right places.

Because when you’re supported, you don’t just show up more…

You show up with clarity.

Some days I’m building content calendars and mapping strategy for clients. ✍️ Some days I’m answering emails between school pickups and dinner plans. And some days, I’m doing all of that while helping run a local, family-owned brunch + lunch restaurant. ☕

♥️ I’ve been doing social media and digital marketing for over a decade now, and from the very beginning, my heart has always been with local businesses. The kind built on relationships, long days, and showing up for people — not just numbers on a screen.

Being a small business owner myself, especially in hospitality, has only deepened that understanding. I know the early mornings, the challenges, the constant decision-making, and the care it takes to build something that truly serves your community.
