Furever Nevada Foundation is a senior dog sanctuary located in Pahrump. They have dogs available for adoption, foster and have volunteer opportunities for animal lovers. The facility is climate controlled and sound proof. Animal rights activist Bob Wannberg has joined the organization. Wannberg explains why he was compelled to get involved.

Pahrump Disability Outreach Program's Pumpkin Days was held at Ian Deutch Memorial Park. The 4 day event featured the Monster Dash 5k run or walk, two haunted houses, a play fire truck, a hay maze, a hay pyramid, hay rides, a petting zoo, mechanical bull rides, and even a car smash area.

From the Nye County Sheriffs Office
On Monday, 10/28/24 at about 4:20 pm, NCSO Dispatch received a call reporting a shooting in Pahrump at the intersection of Homestead and Cactus. Deputies responded and located a male down with a gunshot wound to the neck. Deputies provided First Aid and Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue responded. The male was immediately transported to the Mercy Air pad and flown into UMC Trauma in Las Vegas.
Deputies on scene received a vague description and canvassed the area. We were able to locate an outdoor camera in the area and could see the suspect who fled on foot. Another camera in the area showed the suspect get into a black Ford Mustang and leave the area.
Through our investigation, Deputies were able to tentatively identify the suspect as Jordan Matthew Rodriguez and responded to his residence where they found the suspect vehicle parked outside.
Deputies made contact at the residence and Rodriguez was detained. He was interviewed and as a result of the interview and evidence collected, he was later booked on charges of Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Discharging a Firearm Endangering the Public.
At last check, the victim remains in critical condition.

Two individuals are detained at a home in Mountain Falls where the suspect vehicle was located. A suspect, believed to be the shooter, came out of the home with his hands up. Police are confirming if this person is the shooter at this time.
