Proud mom moment ♥️

Five generations.

My husband’s great-great-grandfather came to this country from Norway and worked in construction. His son became a contractor. Then his son became a contractor. Then my husband followed the same path.

Now it’s our son’s turn.

This week he officially earned his contractor’s license and launched his own company.

The truth is, he didn’t just learn this trade from a book. He was raised around it. He grew up on job sites, riding along with his dad, watching skilled craftsmen do their work, asking questions, learning how things are built, and developing a respect for doing a job right. Some of his earliest memories are on construction sites.

The knowledge, work ethic, and pride in craftsmanship that have been passed down through generations are now in his hands.

We couldn’t be more proud of the man he has become.

And to you and your wife—now it’s your turn to build something of your own. A business, a future, and a legacy for the generations that come after you.

Congratulations, Duke. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes you. ❤️

If you’d like to follow along on his journey, give a follow.

This field has been sitting empty for a while.

After closing the flower fields and saying goodbye to my mom, I wasn’t sure what came next. For a long time, I felt like I needed to rush into the next thing.

Instead, I’ve spent the last year thinking.

Walking this ground.
Watching.
Planning.

Over the next year and a half, we’ll be improving the soil, building irrigation, and slowly preparing this ground for lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus, and perennial greens.

Right now, it looks like an empty field, and it’s driving me a little crazy. But if farming has taught me anything, it’s that the most important work often happens before anything is visible. This season isn’t about planting—it’s about preparing the ground for what's next.😊

This is the beginning of a new chapter and I'm so looking forward to it. 🌱

There’s something about getting plants from another grower that just feels different.🌱

Picked up tuberose bulbs from a flower farmer friend in Las Vegas this week, and today they went into the soil here. First time I’ve ever planted them, and already I’m thinking ahead to summer nights and that scent drifting across the field. They smell so good!

I love this quiet little network we have growing out here—one field to another, one set of hands to the next. It’s real.

Planting something that came from someone else’s work, and trusting it’ll take hold here too. That’s the kind of growth I truly appreciate and want more of. 💕

Let’s see what they do. 🌱

Thanks so much Van 😊

We’re about to redo this whole field.

Clean it up. Start fresh.

But this row of statice has been doing its own thing…
no water for a year, cut back constantly—
and it still shows up.

There’s something about that.

Not everything needs perfect conditions to grow.

It's Draft Week! 🏈🏈

It’s so wild how fast it all goes.

I still see the little boy at the lake…
throwing every fishing rod in the water because that was his version of catching a fish.
Running bases at three years old like it was the biggest game of his life.
“Mom, watch me.”
“Aunt Kim, watch me slide.”

And we did. We watched all of it.

Somewhere along the way, that little kid turned into a man I’m so proud of. Steady, hardworking, and just good at his core.

Now it’s draft week. 🏈
And I don’t know what happens next—but I do know this: he’s already done something special.

We’re all just over here cheering him on, hoping his dreams keep unfolding exactly the way they’re meant to.

Love you so much. Always have. Always will.

Wishing you everything this week - go get it Jeffery!

A full week in northern Utah.

Grandbabies, nieces, nephews, my sister, my girls.
Tulips in bloom, long walks, and every fish in the aquarium.
Park City gave us the kind of quiet you don’t realize you needed until you’re in it.

Time well spent. No need to add more to it.

And then ending it watching my girl—14 weeks pregnant—setting her goals, steady and clear.

Just an all-around incredible week full of tons of love, girl power and laughter.

I absolutely adore my people ✨
