Ky. 580 in Johnson County to close Oct. 22 for pipe replacement

Special to The
Paintsville Herald

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said in a statement that Ky. 580 near Caudill Fork Road (mile point 0.45) will be closed Oct. 22 to allow for the replacement of an entrance pipe.
Due to the narrow roadway and limited space for equipment, the road will be closed to through traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. During this time, crews will be working in the roadway and will not be able to safely allow vehicles to pass.
The route is expected to reopen by mid-afternoon to ensure that school buses and local traffic can travel through the area without delay, pending no unforeseen issues, the statement said.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and use alternate routes during the scheduled closure period.
