Join us for a series of mini popup style art exhibits at the Lots-a-Knots Italian Bakery and Cafe in Wauconda every Tuesday and Wednesday in January and February between 12 and 3pm. The exhibit is titled "Celebrating the Knot". Each day features a different local area original artist featuring the knot in some way.
TOMORROW - we are celebrating the Celtic knot with award-winning Celtic harpist Ruth Raubertas.

We invite you to join us in Celebrating the Knot!
Whether you are feeling rebellious with a giant "NOT!" or interested in seeing what kind of fine-art can be made with a Knot, the new curated popup fine-art exhibits at the Lots-a-Knots Italian Bakery and Cafe in Wauconda, IL are presenting knotted art across a variety of mediums. Every Tuesday and Wednesday in January & February between 12 and 4pm. While you're there we hope you also purchase one of their delicious Italian knots.
The popup exhibits are free. Free parking in the side lot. Family-friendly, all ages welcome.

January 7th - Fine-artist Cayleigh Holland - Pyrographer - Cayleigh Holland is a pyrography artist who creates woods burns of her original artwork. She focuses on capturing the beauty of mother nature and all of the majestic animals. The canvases she
uses are basswood and birch tree slices, and a fungus called Ganoderma applanatum “artist conks”. This type of mushroom grows on trees and preserves itself thereby making it possible for Cayleigh to create her pyrography art onto them. Cayleigh uses
a pyrography (wood burning) tool to free burn from her imagination. The results are visions of what the trees might see
that humans miss when they are not out in the wilderness.

January 8th - Fine-Artist - Wanda H LaVan - raising the bar on crocheted masterpieces, Wanda has created over 300 one-of-a-kind hand-crocheted Gnomes. These lovable knotted balls of yarn are know world wide in collectors circles especially in France and Japan. Wanda is a local artist from Buffalo Grove, IL. We hope you enjoy viewing the Gnomes and Nisse at the cafe.
