👋Hi! I thought it was time to reintroduce myself to any new followers! I'm your host, Lisa McNamara. I started the Postcards From Palisade podcast in March 2023 to share my love of Palisade with podcast fans (and Palisade fans!) everywhere.

Each episode, I interview a local resident or business owner about the things they do that help make Palisade a great place to live and visit. I don't request or require payment of any kind from podcast guests, so you can be assured that any opinions I express are my own. I just really DO get that excited about things!

You can usually find me in and around town doing some of my favorite things: hiking, biking, drinking wine, hugging fluffy dogs, listening to live music, and skiing (although sharp-eyed people will notice right away that that first pic is definitely NOT from Palisade!).

If you are interested in being a guest on the podcast, I'm always interested in talking with anyone who lives in, owns a business in, or has an interesting story to tell about Palisade, CO. I want to focus on the things that bring us together, so that means topics strictly focusing on things like religion or politics or gossip are off-limits.

Thanks for listening! With love from Palisade, always!

🎧 New episode!

When you bite into a peach or a cherry or any other delicious piece of Palisade produce, can you taste the more than 200 federal regulations and five governmental agencies behind the workers who helped provide that bounty?

Kim Noland, an independent H-2A agent based in Palisade, explains what agents do to help farmers manage the H-2A program and why the program is a critical economic necessity for Palisade. Marvel with us at the bureaucracy, and the people, behind the program!

Barbie Graham, tasting room manager at Carboy Winery at Mount Garfield Estates in Palisade and sales and hospitality manager for the company globally, joins me to chat about how Carboy is making wine delicious, fun, and sustainable.
