Today we celebrate 42 incredible years of marriage—a journey that began with a blind date back in high school and has grown into a life rich with love, laughter, and adventure. From raising a family and becoming proud grandparents to embracing retirement on the open road as full-time RVers, we’ve shared every chapter hand in hand. Through every twist and turn, our love has only deepened. There’s no one else I would rather scale mountains, camp, cruise or do life alongside with than you! Here’s to the wonderful memories behind us and many years of adventure still to come! 💕🥂

We finally made it to Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona! I can’t believe it’s taken us more than 7 years of RVing to finally get here! The area is beautiful! We took Dixie’s Lower Antelope Canyon Tour this morning. The canyon is located on the Navajo Reservation and you must be on a tour in order to visit Antelope Canyon. Our guide, a Navajo, provided a lot of history and cultural information about the Navajo Nation. The beauty of the slot canyon was amazing!! It was a great tour!!

CAMPGROUND REVIEW

Have you camped in Franklin NC?

We camped at Franklin RV Park for 10 nights. We were only supposed to be there for a week but, because we were scheduled to depart the same day Hurricane Helene blew through, we stayed 3 extra nights. It was rainy and windy but, thankfully, we never even lost power, just cell service.

This is a great little family campground that is super clean and very well maintained. The camp host, Rick, is very helpful. He takes incredible care of the campground. The landscaping is impeccable! We even found a vase of fresh flowers on our picnic table after we arrived.

The bathrooms are clean. The laundry shed is amazing. There is also a beautiful open air Pavillion with a fireplace. There are pull through sites with no trees as well as sites that have plenty of shade.

We will definitely camp at Franklin RV Park again!

Have you been to Dry Falls along Hwy 64 in Highlands NC?

We recently took a day to find as many waterfalls as we could between Franklin and Highlands NC. Hands down, Dry Falls was by far the most beautiful! It's gorgeous from every angle! There is a $3 parking fee but worth every penny!

The road to get there (Hwy 64) is not for the faint of heart. This road is extremely narrow, winding, with plenty of blind curves and hills! It's also very pretty and worth the trip!

Have you been ziplining?

We had a great time ziplining at Highlands Aerial Park in Scaly Mountain NC. Our guides were great! The weather was perfect and the views flying through the trees…. AMAZING!! 🤩

We saw the Aurora Borealis again last night, this time from our campfire! We could actually see the vertical curtains! God is great! His creation is awesome!!

We went to the Headlands Dark Sky Park last night in search of the Persides Meteor Shower and, while I did see two meteors, I was able to capture the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis. In all fairness, I could not see the Aurora with my naked eye but with a 30 second long exposure, my iPhone picked it up. Hoping that one day I’ll actually be able to see it with my own eyes!
