🚨Septic Shock Insight Alert!
ICU nurses, how soon does your ICU team start Vasopressin drip on your patients with septic shock?

Check-out this recently published article where a large study found that earlier initiation of vasopressin in septic shock—at lower norepinephrine doses, lower lactate, and closer to shock onset—was linked with lower in-hospital mortality.

🔑Takeaway: If Vaso is likely to be used as an adjunct to your Levo, starting earlier rather than later may improve patient outcomes.
Early Vasopressin at lower Norepi & Lactate = ⬇️ mortality
Delay or starting Vasopressin at high Norepi dose = ⬆️ mortality.
