THE TROPICS AND HEAVY RAINFALL...

Good Tuesday Morning!!

The National Hurricane Center now has a 40% chance for development for 93L over the next 48 hours. The likely track for this disturbance is across Central Florida and then across the northern Gulf to Louisiana/Mississippi.

For us here in South Florida, scattered to numerous showers and isolated strong storms today moving south to north. Some rainfall will be heavy. Rain chances are slightly higher the farther north in our area you go.

Scattered rainfall is possible tomorrow, but rain chances will be higher inland and over toward the west coast.

HIGHER CHANCES FOR RAIN FOR SOUTH FLORIDA...

Good Wednesday Morning!

Our rain chances will increase today through Friday (see note about the 4th below), with scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms possible each day.

Rainfall will mainly take place during the afternoon and early evening, but some overnight and morning rainfall is not out of the question.

The general movement of rainfall will be southwest to northeast and some rainfall could be heavy.

For the Fourth... Although chances for rainfall remain on the higher end for Independence Day... computer models are showing some rainfall mostly in the afternoon on Friday, and then becoming more isolated during the evening.

A WET FORECAST THIS WEEK, TRICKY WEEKEND AHEAD...

Good Monday Afternoon!

Rain chances remain on the higher end for this week... about 60% chances or higher.

Obviously this is a big week for outdoor activities (with the 4th on Friday), so we will be monitoring everything carefully.

Also, The National Hurricane Center has highlighted a large area from the Gulf to the Atlantic for possible development at the end of the week and over the weekend.

Models do show some development west or east of Florida, but it's a bit tricky right now. Regardless, an increase in weekend rainfall looks possible at the moment.
