One of the best parts about the Hangar Z podcast is building genuine friendships that span the globe.

Mrs. Z and I recently had the chance to catch up in San Diego with our good friend Richard Brandon and his wife, Sharon.

For those who tuned into Episode 67, Richard brought an incredible depth of insight from his 30-year law enforcement career with the London Metropolitan Police and his work as the Aviation Capability Manager for the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).

Beyond being a powerhouse advocate for European public safety aviation and a key part of the Hangar Z team, he’s and his wife are simply top-notch company.

This community isn’t just about aircraft and operations, it’s about the friendships we develop and the dedicated, down-to-earth people across the world who make this mission-driven family what it is.

The best part about being on the road is running across good friends like the crew at the Oxford Alabama Air Support Unit.

We first visited them during the inaugural Blades of Valor tour, and they’re still out here doing outstanding work. Huge thanks to the team for the hospitality.
