There’s something special about watching an off the track Thoroughbred discover what comes next.

Supporting the Retired Racehorse Project is about so much more than a competition. It shines a light on how talented, athletic, intelligent, and versatile Thoroughbreds are.

Leaving the track means learning entirely new expectations. New environments. New lifestyle. And a new job. And for their next rider/owner, it means patience, and being willing to listen to the horse in front of you.

That’s a large part of why OTTBs mean so much to us at Ride Kind. Transitions into their second careers remind us that starting over isn’t starting from nothing, it’s taking everything you’ve learned and finding out what you can become next.

Here’s to the Thoroughbreds finding their next chapter and the people helping them write it.

Happy Birthday to Ally, one of the founders behind The Ride Kind Project 🎈❤️

From growing up riding western pleasure in Ontario, Canada, to the racetrack, hunters, dressage, and everything in between — Ally’s journey has always been rooted in a deep love and respect for horses. Her path has taken her from grooming and hotwalking at Fort Erie Race Track, to competing on collegiate equestrian teams, traveling internationally in racing, and now training dressage horses and riders here in South Florida.

No matter where horses have taken her, one thing has always stayed the same: her passion for keeping joy, balance, and kindness at the center of the ride. A true advocate for Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds, Ally continues to inspire others through her dedication to horsemanship, community, and the incredible versatility of the Thoroughbred.

We’re so grateful for everything she pours into the horses and people around her every day. Help us wish Ally the happiest birthday! 🎉🤍
