The pier is coming back to life... and this view says it all. 🚁

That silhouette we've all been missing? It's coming back... just bigger, taller, and built to take a punch.

Flagler Beach's iconic pier has been closed since Ian back in 2022, and watching this concrete rebuild come together is something else. This isn't a patch job... the new pier's going up in concrete, stretching close to 800 feet, basically double the old one. It stands about 28 feet tall, more than 10 feet higher than what used to be there.

Here's the part I love... they're keeping the first 100 feet of the original 1928 wooden pier and reinforcing it. So the history stays, the future gets stronger.

Four years closed since Ian... and now the heart of Flagler Beach is almost back. Can't wait to walk out to the end of this thing again.

🌴 WANT TO SEE THE REAL PALM COAST? GET OFF THE ROAD AND GET ON THE WATER. 🚤

One of the things I love most about doing these local business spotlights is getting the opportunity to experience the businesses that make Palm Coast and Flagler County such a special place to live.

And Backwater Cat Adventures is one you absolutely need to check out.

My wife and I went out over Labor Day, and Dave and Dylan went above and beyond to give us an incredible private tour of the waterways around Palm Coast.

As someone who grew up around the Intracoastal and has spent a huge part of my life on the water throughout Flagler County and South St. Johns County, I can tell you these guys know their stuff.

Dylan was an awesome guide, and the boats were an absolute blast. We got to cruise, drift around, have some fun, and really enjoy being out on the water. The conditions were beautiful and calm, and we even had the opportunity to head through the inlet and cruise a couple of miles out into the ocean.

But what really stood out to me was how personal the experience was.

This isn't just another crowded boat tour where you're packed in with a bunch of people. It's a one on one experience that lets you actually get out and explore the quieter side of Palm Coast and Flagler County.

And that's something I think a lot of people miss.

When you think about Palm Coast, it's easy to think about Palm Coast Parkway, State Road 100 and all the growing, highly populated areas.

But there's another side to this community.

The waterways. The backwaters. The wildlife. The peaceful stretches of coastline. The places where you can slow down, breathe, and remember why so many of us love living here.

Dylan even took us through areas I had never personally explored before, which says a lot considering how familiar I am with the local waterways.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time, and we're genuinely excited to be able to support a local family business that's putting their flag in the ground here in Palm Coast and Flagler County.

That's really the whole purpose behind these business spotlights.

We're not here to promote big box stores or massive corporations. We're here to find the local people and local businesses that are actually helping make this community what it is.

If you've driven past the Target shopping center lately, you've seen it... a brand new HomeGoods, Five Below, and Barnes & Noble are officially under construction here in Flagler County. That's nearly 50,000 square feet of new retail hitting Palm Coast, with HomeGoods taking the biggest space at 25,000 sq ft, Barnes & Noble at 15,000, and Five Below anchoring the east end.

Here's why it matters for our community... this expansion is expected to bring 1,600+ new daily trips to the SR 100 corridor once it opens. If you're in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, or Bunnell, this iconic slider spot is now just a short drive down I-95, giving our area another reason to head toward Daytona for a bite.

Palm Coast's Town Center just grew up... and honestly it was worth the wait. 🏙️

We spent the afternoon walking the Promenade, and let me tell you... this thing is finally coming together. Parking lots poured, landscaping going in, crews on the tail end of the whole project.

Here's the layout... the entire ground floor is commercial. About 57,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office space. Then floors two through four are all residential above it... studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms sitting right on top of the shops.

If European Village had a bigger, upgraded cousin... this is it. Live up top, shop and eat down below, walk everywhere in between. That live, work, play setup Town Center has been chasing for twenty years is finally real.

And here's where I come in... there's still commercial lease space available. We know this project inside and out, from the layout to the traffic to what's going in around it.
