Quick glimpse of my meal at Chicken Salad Chick new location. The mini buttercream cookie was so good!
It is one of those added touches that creates value in the experience.

I'm very impressed with the variety of chicken salad and sides. You can have your choice with one or two sides and one or two scoops on lettuce with crackers. You can also have it as a sandwich choice of white or wheat bread or a flaky croissant. The sides provide healthier options which is a bonus. Broccoli salad, fresh fruit salad, grape salad, pasta salad, or chips. They also have soup and Mac and cheese.

It's awesome to have this new option for lunch. There's a cold case when you walk in that has different sizes of chicken salad to go in case you want to dine elsewhere.

I really liked the sweet treats available right on the counter where you order. White chocolate cake slices, red velvet cake slices ready to grab. There's also more on the menu.

My best friend and I really loved our choices. Sweet and spicy just like our friendship.

Hers was the limited -time summer sandwich Maui Mama Melt- tropical chicken salad with pineapple, bacon, and jalapeno on a toasted croissant with melted cheddar cheese and ample crispy bacon.

Mine was the Kickin Kay Lynne- shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, bacon bits, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese and a touch of siracha.

We both tried the peach tea which wasn't overly flavored.
I really liked the strawberry lemonade as well. Having ample options for beverages is a quality vibe.

If you have never tried it, go see for yourself how fantastic it truly is!

This Independence Day, as the fireworks light up the sky, my heart turns completely to the legacy of the brave individuals who served our country, especially the incredible men in my own family.

I am holding tight to the memory of my dad, first Navy then a proud Merchant Marine whose life was ultimately cut short by Gulf War Syndrome. His sacrifice, though a quieter kind of battle fought long after coming home, is a profound reminder of the heavy, lasting toll of service.

Alongside him, I look up to the stellar examples set by my stepdad, who served with dedication in the Navy, and my grandpa, who led with distinction as a Naval officer. Their collective commitment to our country has shaped my world and deeply rooted my love for our nation.

To me, patriotism isn't just about the flags waving in the summer breeze; it is about honoring the real names, faces, and families behind the freedom we enjoy today. It’s about recognizing that our liberty is bought and sustained by ordinary individuals who choose to do extraordinary, selfless things.

This 4th of July is a solemn but proud reminder of the resilience of the American spirit, a spirit that my dad, stepdad, and grandpa carried with them every single day they wore the uniform or sailed the seas.

As we gather to celebrate our independence, let us take a meaningful moment to look beyond the festivities and truly honor all those who are currently active in our armed forces, standing watch so we can sleep in peace.

Let us also lift up the memory of the fallen, the wounded, and those who carried the invisible scars of war home with them. To everyone who has served, to those who never made it back, and to the families who love and support them: thank you.

Today, we celebrate America because of you.

It takes a lot to make me speechless about a product. I'm blown away by how nice this box dye works and how it reminds me of the more expensive brand that I have used. Quality ingredients that have made my hair so soft and shiny. My prep was so quick and simple, I applied the serum to my ends and mixed up my color. I went with the regrowth application and it was very easy to follow the instructions. I covered my greys and waited 20 minutes. Then applied all over color and waited 10 more minutes and then I rinsed it out. No strong hair dye fragrance and no irritation on my scalp or skin. I am a new fan!! Already getting compliments!!!

I spent years believing that if I just explained myself better...

Loved harder...

Stayed quieter...

Everything would finally get better.

But healing taught me something different.

Some people aren't waiting for the right explanation. They're waiting for you to question yourself.

They're comfortable as long as you're the one carrying the emotional weight.

The day I stopped trying to convince people to understand me was the day I started understanding myself.

That's when everything changed.

If you've been exhausting yourself trying to earn peace from someone who profits from your confusion, this is your reminder:

You don't have to over-explain your boundaries.
You don't have to prove your worth.
You don't have to shrink to make someone else comfortable.

Healing isn't about becoming easier to love
