Radio and television students gain hands-on experience with live broadcasting, production, events, management, news, sports, programming, podcasting, social media, deejaying, announcing and more. Students will learn all aspects of running a radio station using the latest in digital radio technology. COD Roadrunner Radio is located at the COD Media Center, across the street from College of the Desert's Palm Desert campus. It’s specialty format operates 24/7, streaming online via codroadrunnerradio.com and through the COD Roadrunner Radio app. Students from the RTV classes not only comprise the student staff of the radio station, they write, produce and appear as on-air talent. Students get hands-on experience with broadcasting and production, and learn how to operate a radio station.
