Desert Hot Springs is going ahead with plans to build a sports park at the corner of Cholla Drive and Hacienda Avenue at Corporate Yard Park. Eagles Sports Park will be named after the city’s youth football league and high school mascot. The new park has seen mixed reactions from DHS residents. COD Roadrunner Radio wins Best Community College Radio Station in the nation. The 1st place Golden Mic award was presented at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards Ceremony in New York City on March 8. Two radio students won 1st place Golden Mic awards for their individual shows, Best Specialty Music Show and Best Podcast. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.

The 2025 BNP Paribas Open kicked off on March 2 and will last until March 16. The famous tennis tournament is located in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and brings people from all over the world down to the valley. Players such as Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz will be on the court this year.

Digital tickets are available to purchase for single sessions and premium experiences. Transportation Shuttles will be located across six resorts in the desert. Onsite, there will be dining, light and firework shows and other special events.
