**HURRICANE HILARY TO BRING INCREDIBLE RAINFALL TO DESERT SOUTHWEST**

Hope everyone in SoCal (especially the Greater Palm Springs area) is prepping for this rain & wind. Hurricane Hilary is going to pack a punch, even if it gets downgraded to a tropical storm. The deserts are not accustomed to seeing this kind of rainfall.. not by a longshot.

Mountain Communities: Upper 70s - Low 90s
Top of the Tram: Upper 60s - low 70s

NOTES: The average high temperature for Palm Springs during the month of August is 106.1°F, so temperatures will be trending above normal throughout the remainder of the workweek. Normally, we receive about 0.34 in. of rainfall throughout August. We've already recorded 0.71 in. at the airport.

Check out the Altocumulus Castellanus clouds this afternoon! Those streaks are showers evaporating before they hit the ground. People like to call these clouds "Jellyfish Clouds".... for obvious reasons.
