Influence is cool until you know what it actually costs

No one sees the price someone had to pay
The heartache no one knows about

The failure after failure, until finally it worked

But everyone sees the success & wants to claim it

In reality it’s saying the extra 5 minutes to teach someone the thing it took you 10 years to figure out.

Working the after everyone goes to bed bc you know you’re called to more

It’s in those moments, the actual influence begins

If you are not careful, you will glorify your logic and call it wisdom when it is actually an excuse for disobedience and unbelief!

How many times does God tell us to do something and we don’t do it because of where we’re starting?

Do not despise your small beginnings and what you do have. It’s where your character is formed. Where you learn to do everything unto the Lord, faithfulness is birthed, being able to handle criticism & where you learn quitting isn’t an option!

okay this is kinda crazy but… I blew up my life. 😭🩵6 months ago I knew I needed to get on board with what God told me to do or never think about it again and since I chose obedience?? I am a COMPLETELY different person.

night and day. Like who is she honestly???

three things that actually worked for me:
1. I stopped looking for the approval of people close to me. my calling wasn’t affecting THEIR obedience with God. but it was affecting mine. 👀

2. I started tracking every single task. I have so many ideas and staying focused is hard for me lol. but this journal changed EVERYTHING on how I actually get things done. is what I use

3. I started saying no. no to certain relationships. no to sleeping in. so I could finally start saying YES to what actually matters this season.

and here’s what I knew but now actually KNOW, anything worth having requires a sacrifice. your calling, your health, etc all will cost you something.

so if you’re feeling like you need a shift too… stick around. you might just need to blow up your life a little too😉🩵

stop losing peace over situations you have 0 control over

Jumping to conclusions aka knitting a sweater in the middle of summer and you didn’t even need it

When I would start to feel anxiety rising I would have to tell myself out loud

“Janae. Stop knitting a sweater”

aka stop jumping to conclusions that you don’t actually know anything about.

If someone is mad at you, an adult will tell you
If you’re going to lose your job, good something better is coming
If a relationship ended, hallelujah youre just one step closer to your forever person🤍
