💃75+ Local Makers at USF this Sunday🌴

A Sunday worth leaving the house for 😎 On June 21st the St. Pete Sunday Market is back at USF St. Pete with 75+ local vendors, food trucks, live music, live painters, and a full afternoon of local energy across campus.

Browse handmade goods, find something new from a local maker, grab food with friends, and enjoy an easy Sunday out in the city. Since it’s Father’s Day, bring Dad along, treat him to lunch, or let him pick out something he probably doesn’t need but definitely wants. Come spend the day with your community and make this Third Sunday one to remember!

🍝St.Pete Italian restaurant receives a prestigious “2 out of 3 Forks” by (Had to look it up, basically the Italian Michelin)🇮🇹

Congrats 🥳 They recently opened on Central Ave in the Grand Central District but already have locations in Palm Harbor, On Ulmerton, and St.Pete Beach.

I became friends with the owners last year and they have always done a nice job. Lamb chops and meatballs are my typical go to, but we tried the seafood pasta that was very nice.

🇫🇷Delightful French Bakery & Restaurant tucked away in Gulfport.🥰

I’ve been a fan of Mademoiselle Paris since they arrived in Gulfport about a yearish ago. I always just grab a croissant and cappuccino, but went for a little brunch/cocktail action this time around.

The crepe was good, but the croissant eggs bene with prosciutto, spinach, and nice runny egg 🤌 loved it. You can never go wrong with a pastry.

Gulfport is just a nice spot to hang out and this is a solid spot as you bounce around. I was once told you can walk around with booze on the street…not the case as I later found out. 🫠LOL

🍕New Detroit Style PIZZA spot recently opened on 4th St N🔥

Got a crash course on Detroit style yesterday at Sodough Square - Detroit Style 🙌 I was expecting a bit heavier of a dough but it was surprisingly much airier and that crispy deliciousness around the top is intentional. It is called Frico (pronounced Fr-EE-co)

Here is the scoop:
✅ baked in traditional blue steel Detroit pans (sourced from Michigan!)
✅ 24+ hour fermented artisan dough

The 🍕 Detroit Rob City was 🔥🔥 I personally LOVE the whipped ricotta and fresh basil🫶
detroit red sauce • pinched sausage • ezzo cup pepperoni • whipped ricotta • hot honey • fresh basil

😳First look at Mei, St.Pete’s newest concept from the Bento Group who cumulatively has 5 Michelin Stars, 5 Bibs, and 1 James Beard finalist under their umbrella.🔥

With Chef Alex at the culinary helm he has developed a menu “uniting the elegance of French culinary artistry with the refined simplicity of Nordic-style cuisine and Japanese ingredients.”

We tried:
Milk Bread
Madal Crudo
Joyce Farms Chicken
Lamb Chops

Wasn’t planning on the chicken but they talked us into it. Very tasty and has a whole story on the preparation. 🔥

The table next to us had the duck and ribeye which both looked excellent as well, they said they loved it.

Dessert: Homemade corn ice cream with a corn waffle…wowzers. Mild sweetness, and so much flavor.
