Comedian Shann Carr and The LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert are thrilled to bring you the CV Lip Sync Battle. It's happening Saturday, September 6th at 6 pm in the big theatre at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Get ready for a night of wild performances. This isn’t your grandma’s talent show (unless your grandma can lip sync to Beyoncé, in either case, bring her). ThiCV Lip Sync Battles year, nine teams from some of the valley’s most beloved organizations will battle for $1,000, bragging rights, and a year’s supply of local glory....

"Section 14: The Untold Story, the newest exhibit at the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum, explores the complicated history of a tract of land in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. The square-mile location, and the people who have lived on Section 14, have been the subject of headlines since President Ulysses S. Grant signed the origin documents, making the land part of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation in 1876. In 1968, the Riverside Press-Enterprise won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting on the effects of the federal government’s guardianship of the tribe....

Section 14 exhibit explores tribal land history, Pulitzer-winning coverage, and eviction reparations in downtown Palm Springs.

"Cyrus Tahmasebi blames the margaritas. He and his wife, Marcie, were on their second round at Fresh Agave in Palm Desert when the big red barn across Highway 111 caught their eyes. They’d struck up a conversation with locals at a nearby table, asking where to hang out in Palm Desert. The group pointed across the street and said, “That used to be a fun place — until a fire shut it down.” Marcie, an interior designer, turned to Cyrus. “How fun would it be to buy it and fix it up into somewhere we’d want to hang out?” she asked..."

Margaritas sparked an idea—Cyrus and Marcie spotted a fire-damaged barn and dreamed of reviving it as a hotspot.

CVRep kicks off its 2025–2026 season with Dear Evan Hansen, followed by the hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors.
