🌈 A NEW NAME. A NEW CHAPTER. THE SAME PRIDE.

The City of Cathedral City is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for our signature LGBTQ+ celebration.

Following a unanimous vote of the Cathedral City City Council, our annual celebration will officially become Cathedral City Pride.

The decision was supported by every member of the City Council, including Mayor Raymond Gregory and Mayor Pro Tem Ernesto Gutierrez, reflecting our community’s shared commitment to inclusion, visibility, celebration and creating a place where everyone belongs.

And now, we have the dates!

For years, Cathedral City LGBT+ Days has brought our community together through celebration, advocacy, entertainment and connection. Now, with a new name comes an identity that says exactly what this celebration is all about.

The Fall 2026 issue of P.L.A.Y. — Parks, Leisure, and Activities for YOU! is here from the City of Palm Springs Parks & Recreation Department! 🍂☀️

As our desert temperatures finally start heading in the right direction, it’s the perfect time to get back outside, try something new and reconnect with our community.

🎬🌈 JOHN TAYLOR IS BACK OUT IN THE GAYBORHOOD AND THIS TIME IT’S MOVIE NIGHT!

John caught up with Palm Springs’ own Jason Stuart actor, comedian, producer and longtime LGBTQ+ entertainer to talk about his busy weekend at Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival.

Jason stars in Red Lining, a drama set in the 1970s exploring race, housing and generational wealth through the lives of a Black family and a white family sharing the same property. The title references the historic practice of redlining, which helped segregate neighborhoods and contributed to lasting disparities in homeownership and wealth.

The film features Alexandra Paul and Lee Garlington, with Steve Campbell producing, Billy Clift as director of photography and we’re especially proud that KGAY 103.1 Palm Springs own Mitchell Battersby serves as Executive Producer! 🎥👏

🎞️ Red Lining screens Saturday night at 7:30 at Cinema Diverse.

And Jason isn’t stopping there! Look for his cameo in Some Kind of Wonderful and his role as an artistic director in Billy Clift’s Only Bears.

Plus, Jason’s mom Gloria is coming to the festival and apparently the two have already survived appearing together in an AT&T commercial. 😂
