📣🌈🧱 October is LGBTQ+ History Month. Here’s what that means. While June is Pride Month, a time where we celebrate who we are, stand proudly in our identities, and continue a fight for equality - October is LGBTQ+ History Month, a time to remember how we got here.

This month is dedicated to the trailblazers who refused to stay silent. The activists who marched when it was dangerous to do so. We remember Stonewall, the fight against HIV/AIDS, the struggle for marriage equality.

The rights we have today did not come easily, and we’re continually fighting to preserve those precious rights. Truth is LGBTQ+ history is American History and it deserves to be taught, remembered and passed on.

We’ve always been here, and will continue to exist! This October celebrate our history, honor those who came before us, and keep building a future to be remembered for years to come.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ NEW LGBTQ+ PROTECTIONS IN CALIFORNIA

Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed six new laws expanding protections for LGBTQ+ Californians — including transgender veterans, health and LGBTQ+ data privacy, HIV prevention, LGBTQ+ students and survivors of conversion therapy.

The new laws come as California pushes back against federal actions affecting LGBTQ+ people.
