Today in Quake History:

Sept. 29, 1992 - released their debut album, "Core". The album featured four hit singles including "S*x Type Thing", "Wicked Garden", "Creep", and "Plush", the latter of which won the group the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance.

Since its release, "Core" has sold over 8 million copies in the US.

Sept. 29, 1992 - released their 2nd studio album, "Dirt". It was the band's last album recorded with all four original members, as bassist Mike Starr was fired in January 1993 during the tour to support the album. The album featured 5 singles in "Would?", "Them Bones", "Angry Chair", "Rooster", and "Down in a Hole", and has sold over 5 million copies in the US.

Today in Quake History: Sept. 28, 1976 - released the soundtrack album to "The Song Remains The Same". The recording of the album and the film took place during three nights of concerts at New York's Madison Square Garden, during the band's 1973 North American tour.

Sicne its release, the album has sold over 2 million copies in the US.

Today in Quake History: Sept. 26, 1969 - released their 11th studio album, . It is the last album the group recorded, although "Let It Be" was the last album completed before the band's break-up in April 1970. The album is now widely regarded as one of the Beatles' best and one of the greatest albums of all time. George Harrison's two songs on the album, "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun", are considered among the best he wrote for the group.

Since its release, "Abbey Road" has sold over 12 million copies in the US and 31 million worldwide.

Sept. 26, 1983 - released their second studio album, . The album featured the singles "Too Young To Fall In Love" and "Looks That Kill" and became the group's breakthrough album, establishing Motley Crue as one of the biggest metal bands of the 1980s. Since its release, "Shout At The Devil" has sold over 4 million copies in the US.

Sept. 26, 1995 - released their 13th studio album, , which marked the return of drummer Phil Rudd, who had played with AC/DC from 1975 to 1983. The album featured the singles "Hard As A Rock", "Hail Caesar" and "Cover You In Oil", and has sold over 2 million copies in the US.
