Today in Quake History:
Sept. 29, 1992 - released their debut album, "Core". The album featured four hit singles including "S*x Type Thing", "Wicked Garden", "Creep", and "Plush", the latter of which won the group the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance.
Since its release, "Core" has sold over 8 million copies in the US.
Sept. 29, 1992 - released their 2nd studio album, "Dirt". It was the band's last album recorded with all four original members, as bassist Mike Starr was fired in January 1993 during the tour to support the album. The album featured 5 singles in "Would?", "Them Bones", "Angry Chair", "Rooster", and "Down in a Hole", and has sold over 5 million copies in the US.
