"Joshua Lockard: Found in Two Suitcases, No Motive Ever Found"
On December 29, 2020, city workers clearing snow in Denver discovered two suitcases containing human remains, later identified as 33-year-old Joshua Lockard. A baggage tag on one suitcase led investigators to Benjamin Satterthwaite, someone Joshua knew. The case broke open almost by coincidence, when the same detective investigating the murder responded to an unrelated overdose call at the suspect's own apartment. This is the story of how a series of small clues led to a guilty plea, even though Joshua's exact cause of death and a clear motive were never established.
