In our season 7 finale of The St. Andrews Jezebel Podcast, I had the honor of meeting with Patricia McNeal at Floriopolis. Patricia a remarkable woman who accomplished an incredible feat of riding her bike across the United States. Starting in Florida ending her journey in California. Her story is one of overcoming adversity, determination, and achieving her dream, and it left me feeling inspired and in awe.

During our conversation, Patricia shared her journey of recovering from a life-altering stroke and how she refused to let her circumstances define her. Her unwavering determination and her relentless pursuit of her dream taught me that no matter how daunting the path may seem, perseverance is key to achieving our goals.

Patricia's bike ride across America was not without its hurdles. Along her route, she encountered unforeseen setbacks that tested her resolve. However, nothing prepared her for the unimaginable impact of Hurricane Michael, which struck our hometown of Panama City, Florida just after she embarked on her journey. Witnessing the devastation, I couldn't help but marvel at Patricia's strength as she faced yet another immense challenge. She showed me that setbacks do not define us; it's how we respond to them that truly matters. Patricia's determination to return home and rebuild her community was an inspiring testament to the indomitable human spirit.

Throughout our conversation, Patricia's story transcended her personal journey. It became a beacon of hope for stroke survivors and anyone facing their own struggles. Her unwavering spirit and commitment to overcome adversity, one pedal at a time, left an indelible mark on my heart.

I encourage you to listen to Patricia's incredible journey on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Join me in celebrating the power of the human spirit and the indomitable resilience that lies within each of us. Let Patricia's story inspire you to pursue your dreams, no matter how challenging they may seem.
