🚨 **Revolutionary Traffic Light Upgrade: White Light to Revolutionize Roads for Self-Driving Cars!** 😲

**Information Source**: Ecoticias

Imagine smoother commutes where your car "talks" to traffic lights—no more endless red lights or stop-and-go frustration! Researchers at North Carolina State University are proposing a game-changer: adding a **white light** to standard traffic signals to supercharge autonomous vehicles (AVs). This isn't replacing red, yellow, or green—it's a smart add-on that kicks in when AVs dominate the intersection, letting them coordinate like pros while human drivers stay in the loop. With AVs on the rise, this could slash delays by up to 94% and boost fuel efficiency. Dr. Ali Hajbabaie says human drivers can "maneuver alongside AVs" safely. Trials start in controlled spots like ports—could this hit your city soon? What's your take: Exciting innovation or overkill? Drop it below and TAG a friend who's always stuck in traffic! 👇

**Key Highlights from the Proposal**:
- 🚦 **How It Works**: White light activates only when lots of AVs are present—AVs share real-time data for optimal flow; defaults to traditional lights for low AV density to keep everyone safe.
- 🌟 **Big Wins**: Cuts delays by 3% with just 10% AVs, up to 94% with more; smoother traffic, less fuel waste, and builds trust between human and self-driving cars.
- 🧑‍🔬 **Brain Behind It**: Led by Dr. Ali Hajbabaie (NC State civil engineering prof)—focus on integration, not color (white's just a suggestion!).
- 🧪 **Trials Ahead**: Starting in high-AV, low-pedestrian zones like ports for easy testing; infrastructure's ready, emphasizing safety first.
- 💬 **Quote Gold**: "Human drivers will still be able to drive as usual, but will also know how to maneuver their way through intersections alongside autonomous vehicles." — Dr. Hajbabaie.

EUROPE’S NEW BIOMETRIC BORDER CHECKS BEGIN TODAY — WHAT AMERICANS NEED TO KNOW

Starting October 12, 2025, all non-EU travelers entering the Schengen Area (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland) will face a major change in how their entry and exit is recorded. Europe’s long-delayed Entry/Exit System (EES) officially begins rolling out today, requiring travelers from outside the EU to register their fingerprints and facial images at border crossings. 🇪🇺🔍

The EES replaces manual passport stamps with a comprehensive biometric database spanning 29 countries across much of Europe. Travelers will have their photo, fingerprint scans, passport details, and entry/exit dates digitally recorded and stored securely for three years. Children under 12 only provide a photo, not fingerprints. 👶📸

Ireland and Cyprus are exempt and will maintain manual passport controls for now. British travelers, now treated as third-country visitors after Brexit, are among those most affected. 🇬🇧🛂

Border checks will happen at airports, seaports, and land borders, gradually rolling out over six months to avoid long delays. The full system will be operational by April 10, 2026. At UK exit points like Dover and Folkestone, biometric data will be collected on departure to France. 🚢✈️

This initiative aims to strengthen border security, prevent illegal overstays, and modernize travel tracking by automatically monitoring the visa-free 90-day limit within any 180-day period. Travelers will only undergo full biometric registration the first time they enter; return visits need just facial recognition. ✅⏳

While the EU expects initial queues and some processing delays, border agents have authority to pause checks to prevent excessive wait times. Travelers should plan extra time at entry and exit points, especially during peak travel seasons through early 2026. ⏰🚦

Data collected is protected under strict GDPR privacy laws and used solely by authorized border and law enforcement officials to verify identity and compliance. The system does not track traveler movements within the Schengen Area—only entry and exit points. 🔐🛡️

This rollout lays essential groundwork for the coming ETIAS travel authorization system launching in late 2026, which will require prior online clearance and a small fee for visa-free travelers. Together, EES and ETIAS aim to modernize European border security and traveler screening. 🌐🛂

ZOHRAN MAMDANI’S CAMPAIGN TOOK IN $13,000 IN ILLEGAL FOREIGN DONATIONS — RECORDS SHOW

According to an article by the New York Post, leftist socialist and leading Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s campaign has accepted nearly $13,000 in potentially illicit foreign contributions, including donations from his mother-in-law residing overseas in Dubai. 🇺🇸💰

Analysis of records from the NYC Campaign Finance Board shows that at least 170 of around 54,000 donations came from individuals with addresses outside the United States — a violation of strict federal and city election laws that only allow U.S. citizens or permanent residents to donate to political campaigns. ⚖️🚫

Despite campaign promises to return illegal donations, Mamdani’s team has yet to refund 88 foreign contributions totaling $7,190. The campaign recently stated it will return donations that violate rules but did not explain why such a significant amount remains outstanding. 🔍❓

One refunded donation came from Dr. Bariah Dardari, Mamdani’s mother-in-law, who gave $500 while living in Dubai. This contribution was returned the day it was received. 💸

The large influx of foreign money has drawn bipartisan criticism. Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa called for a Department of Justice investigation into possible foreign influence and the flow of “dark money” into New York’s elections. 🕵️‍♂️🏛️

Mamdani has raised approximately $4 million in private donations, plus $12 million in matching public funds. He leads the race with nearly $6.1 million cash on hand ahead of the November election. 📊🏙️

The majority of foreign donors include tech professionals, academics, medical workers, and retirees from countries such as Australia, Germany, Canada, and the UAE. Donation amounts ranged from $1 to the $2,100 individual contribution limit. 🌍💵
