The Paoli Rams will return to Sectional 46 in Boys' Basketball for the next two seasons. The Sectional will mostly stay the same, but there is a new addition to the field. Henryville moves up to Class 2A with a higher enrollment:

Last week, the IHSAA Executive Committee put together Sectional Assignments for the 2026-27 & 2027-28 school years. Paoli is staying in Sectional 40 for football for the next two seasons, but there are a lot of new teams for the Rams entering the Sectional. Tell City is the only team returning to the Sectional from the last two seasons:

Remembering our good friend Gary Cornwell and the years spent talking about racing on WUME Mix 95.3.

Yesterday morning I received word that long time radio broadcaster at the Salem Speedway, Gary Cornwell passed away.

One thing you knew about Gary was that he lived and breathed racing. You could easily carry on hours on conversation about our sport.

Gary was one of the voices on the radio that broadcasted the races on Mix 95.3 WUME.

We send out our heartfelt love and prayers to Gary’s family during this tragic time.

The Paoli Rams have clinched their 27th Sectional Championship in program history and the first Sectional Title since 2022. The Rams will now head to Seymour in pursuit of their eighth Regional Championship Saturday. They will take on the Linton-Stockton Miners for the Regional 23 Championship at Lloyd Scott Gymnasium. The Rams are looking to break a 26-year Regional Championship drought. Tune into Mix 95.3 for more information about ticket sales and the broadcast schedule for the Rams in the Regional next weekend!

Sectional 46 First Round at Salem tonight. Game 1 tonight has Clarksville facing Mitchell. The Class 2A #1 Paoli Rams will square off with Crawford County in Game Two. Tip off for the Paoli game around 7:45. The Team OC Pregame will start around 7:25.
