"To facilitate the Christmas Day event, the club has sent letters to community members and businesses requesting donations. To contribute funds, mail checks to “Rotary Club of Cedaredge Foundation,” memo: Christmas Dinner, P.O. Box 750, Cedaredge, CO 81413. Contributions will be used to pay the costs of the meals with remaining money dedicated to a scholarship fund for Surface Creek graduating seniors. Those receiving contribution letters must respond by December 19 so that food can be purchased. Local churches also help by preparing side dishes and desserts."

This year, Cedaredge can celebrate at least 25 years of serving a free Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. In past years, using facilities provided by the Surface Creek Valley Historical

North Fork High School creative writing students took on the challenge of crafting original short stories this fall under the guidance of teacher Tracy Ihnot. In their second major unit students explored a variety of genres and styles of short fiction and then wrote their own stories as a final project. Enjoy Animal Stars by Sky Kettenring one of the featured pieces from this project and experience the creative voices of our local youth.

Celebrate the season with friends and neighbors at a special Christmas Cantata presented by The Arts Coalition and Ca****la Plus. Enjoy All Is Well, the beloved Christmas song by Michael W. Smith, performed as a full cantata at three local churches.

The first performance is December 16 at 7 pm at Delta Methodist Church. The second is December 17 at 7 pm at Delta Christian Church, 795 1600 Rd. The third is in Cedaredge at Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church, 110 Jay Avenue, at 7 pm.

All performances are free, and donations will be accepted to support the 2026 Easter Concert Cantata. Do not miss this inspiring Christmas event.
