My name is Jenna and my grief journey began in 2013 when I lost my beautiful 48 year old mother to stage four lung cancer. While my mom was sick, I shared her cancer battle on social media where we were beyond blessed to have such amazing support and so many people who cheered her on, giving us so much hope. After she passed, I stood up to read her eulogy and when I looked out into the wall to wal

l, overcrowded funeral home I realized what an impact she had made on so many lives. That was when I decided to turn my pain into a passion. Writing became an outlet for me so I decided to share my words with all who wanted to read them. I went on to create my grief blog and this page which has grown into the community I had always envisioned it to be. I published my first book, Life Goes On..? in 2014 and then went on to publish my second book, Life Still Goes On: The Blog Book of a Motherless Daughter in 2017. My latest book, The Weight Of What’s Gone, was released in October of 2024 and is a collection of quotes and poems that I have written over the years—all the raw and real emotions I’ve felt on my grief journey. We never forget the ones we love, we just learn to live creatively with a bruised and broken heart and I hope that when you read my words or visit my page, you feel seen, understood and most importantly, less alone in your grief.
