Three years ago, I stepped into this journey terrified.
The kind where your whole life feels like it’s sitting on the line. I put everything I had into this career, trusting something I couldn’t see yet, and believing that if I showed up every day and gave my best, it would be worth it.
I grew up learning how to be resilient, how to push forward quietly, and how to carry myself with strength even when things were heavy. I’ve built this business and this career piece by piece, with passion, and an unwavering love for what I do.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that I wouldn’t be doing this alone.
My clients didn’t just come and go, you stayed. You trusted me. You sat in my chair, brought your mothers, daughters, sisters, brothers, cousins, grandparents, and friends. You referred people you love. You allowed me into milestones, conversations, celebrations, and quiet moments. My coworkers stood beside me. Supporting me, encouraging me, teaching me, and growing with me. I am so grateful to work alongside people who truly care about this craft and this industry. That kind of trust and community is something I will never take lightly.
This past year, being recognized as an award-winning stylist was an honor, but the real award is the life I get to live every day because of you. This industry is about growth, diversity, and presence. It’s about saying yes to the perms, the pixies, the transformations, the challenges and showing up fully every single time. Taking pride in your work. Being flexible. Being teachable. And being grateful.
I want you to know this: I would be absolutely nothing without the people behind me.
Thank you for believing in me when I was still finding my footing. Thank you for trusting my hands, my vision, and my heart. Thank you for helping turn a scared dream into a flourishing reality.
