Our favorite band featured in the Iowa State Daily back in the day. They're back and rocking harder than ever!
A blast from the past! This article from the Iowa State Daily has been excavated from the Misled archives after 20-something years. Aside from revealing that pizza was a helluva lot cheaper in the early 90s, this historical document also sheds light on our heroes' origin story.
From the article:
” Misled was formed in the fall of 1986 by five Iowa State students: Carter Larson on 12-string guitar and lead vocals, Brian Pietig on lead guitar, Randy Meyer on guitar, Chuck Campbell on bass and Dan Reams on drums.”
“By 1988, Meyer and Campbell had departed and Dave Zuck had joined on bass…The group’s big break came in the summer of 1989 when it opened for .38 Special at Stephen’s Auditorium.’’
After several concerts, compilation CDs and a full-length album, the band went their separate ways after members started graduating. Fast forward to 2020, when someone invariably uttered the magic words, “Let’s get the band back together.” And so they did.
Misled currently consists of the iconic lineup that rocked Stephen’s Auditorium and partied with Donnie Van Zant and Ken Lyons backstage. They haven’t skipped a beat…well maybe a couple beats…but they still rock harder than a lot of today’s so-called ‘rock bands’.
They put on a helluva show, so stay tuned for concert dates and gigs…plus their new single GROUNDED drops at the end of the month. More importantly... Don’t Stop Rockin’!
They certainly haven't.
