Henry County High School will celebrate its 2025-26 Homecoming this Friday night. The 2025-26 Basketball Homecoming Court picture is below, along with names of each member. The court will be presented between the girls and boys games against Kenwood on Friday night. Grades 9-11 each have one representative, and the Homecoming Queen–one of the three seniors–will be announced on Friday. At halftime of tonight's game between the McKenzie High School Lady Rebels and the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District Lady Tigers, McKenzie track 🏃‍♀️ standout Abigail Wallace was presented a championship ring 💍 for her state titles 🥇🥇last spring in the 800 and 1600 meter runs.

Henry County ladies and men both were winners on Saturday in the Stewart County Tournament. Both will play on Monday. Henry County games air on WLZK and Stewart County Games on WTPR. Ladies will play McEwen at 3:30 and the men will play Camden at 5:00. Tournament will continue on Tuesday with consolation and championship games

Lance and I certainly hope you had a Merry Christmas and got to spend time with those you love. I did with daughters and son and their families. Only 1 was missing and she was at work in Florida. Olivia, we missed you.

Great night at Henry County High School last night as the 1991 girls basketball team was recognized for their performance 35 years ago as the first Henry County High School team to make a trip to Murfreesboro for the TSSAA state tournament. Although they lost in the first round they were a talented group led by senior Renae Lassiter and Tonya Sensing, juniors Angie Gallimore, and Carrie Vance and Sophomores Kitty Allen, April Crain, Alice Jackson, Mary Grace Morris, Bridgett Williams, LeeAnn Renfroe and Jacque Haynes, freshmen Angie Odom, Stacy Capps, and Marney Largent.

The 1998 boys basketball team coached by Terry Taylor were the last team to win a District championship until last years team won it again. In attendance were Sydney Teague, Dominique Tharpe, Adam Park, Justin Oliver, Kyle Stephens, Kurt Holtgrewe, Phillip Gallimore, Kirk Hudson, Jessie Barnhill, and representing the late William Gray were his mother and uncle Sam Tharpe, manager Mathew Dossett and Coach Terry Taylor. Unable to attend were Brandon Todd, Billy Williams, Joe Olive, and Ralph Russell.

River Conference Championship this evening.

The Lakewood Lady Eagles and Stewart Co. Lady Rebels will face off in championship action tonight at Fred J. Gamlin gymnasium at Henry County High School.

The Camden Lions will take on Lakewood Eagles, who upset Stewart Co. on Saturday, for River Conference Championship.

NO! IT'S NOT SANTA AND THE SEVEN DWARFS! IT IS THE HENRY COUNTY HELPING HAND RADIO AUCTIONEERS THOUGH MEETING TO SET DATES THEY WILL BE BROADCASTING THE AUCTION. Andy Collins, Ray Compton, Darren Thompson, Jamie Orr, Amy Veazy, David Jackson, Noel Hatman and Wendy Barnhart will once again serve as auctioneers with Doug Taylor working the in-house live auctions. Forever Communications will be broadcasting the event. Vice-President of the board Jessie Smith and Ali Harper, who took the picture, were also in attendance. The auction kicks off in early January and will continue into the first week of March.
