Day 8 – 385 Miles

Total Miles - 2562

We made it home safe and sound a few hours ago. We mapped this ride to get the Ride 365 Challenge Coin in Key West but had to remap everything because of the weather riding down Florida for the 3 days we were going to be there.

Even though we didn’t get the coin, we still had a great time. Riding through North Georgia’s backroads was beautiful with the plantations and peach orchards. We got to visit family we haven’t seen in many years.

We loved Savannah and we loved seeing the oak trees draped in Spanish Moss.

Hilton Head Island was not for us. It’s beautiful and great for a beach vacation but they have areas that are not motorcycle friendly. We wanted to visit the Harbour Town Lighthouse and the Rear Range Lighthouse, but they do not allow motorcycles. They did offer to let us park on the side and catch an uber to go in and we politely declined.

Day 7 - 340 Miles

We spent the day riding in the mountains. Here’s a few pics from the Cherohala Skyway to the Dragon.

Love riding the Cherohala but not a fan of the chaos of the Dragon.

Tomorrow we head home.
