A LOT of you have made the guess, so we figured we better announce soon. 🤪

Henhouse Bakery & Books will be making our new home at 110 E Madison in Paris, IL! 🐔🌿

We have so many people to thank for helping us get to this point. To the Paris community, thank you for welcoming us with open arms and being so encouraging throughout this whole process. We have had SO many fellow small business owners reach out to welcome us.

A special thank you to Scott and his family, formerly of KBG Deli, for trusting us with this space and helping us transition into our new home. We are so excited for the opportunity to bring our small business into a space that has been so loved by the community for years now.

And thank you to Cliff Macke and Paris Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for helping us navigate this next chapter and being in our corner. The support we’ve felt from everyone has been incredible and we are so grateful.

We’re still working on all the pieces, so opening day will be announced soon, but we couldn’t be more excited to call Paris home. 🤎

👻🎃 CALLING ALL GHOSTS, GHOULS & HALLOWEEN LOVERS! 🎃👻

Sillies & Scares at BlackHawk Park is getting an upgrade this year! We’re keeping our annual scavenger hunt for the little ones AND adding a Spooky Trail for our bigger kids & teens! 🌲🕷️

But we need a GHOST SQUAD to make it happen! 👻

🕸️ Set up & decorate — 2–4 PM
🧟 Trail actors & spooky characters
🎃 Event helpers & trail guides
🧹 Tear down & pack up — 6–7 PM

Costumes encouraged for trail actors! Come ready to haunt the woods and have some fun!

📚 Need volunteer hours for school, a club, or service requirement? We’ll happily sign official volunteer paperwork!

Gather your crew. Pick your spooky role. Help us make Sillies & Scares unforgettable! 👻
