The leaves may not be the only things potentially changing around Park City. 🍂

An investment group that owns approximately 6.2% of Vail Resorts’ shares has proposed four new board candidates—including Park City resident and Olympic champion Picabo Street.

Nothing has changed yet, but because decisions involving Park City Mountain can ripple through our community, local businesses and the overall experience of living and owning here, this is one we’ll be watching.

We broke down what is happening—and what it could mean for Park City—without all the boardroom jargon.

Big changes are coming to Junction Commons—but not all at once.

Summit County has approved a mixed-use redevelopment of the former Outlets Park City property with 370 residences, including 220 deed-restricted affordable homes, along with commercial space, trails, gathering areas and improved pedestrian connections.

The upper loop of stores is expected to become a new residential neighborhood, and the full project could unfold over eight to 10 years.

What makes this especially significant is the larger picture: Junction Commons, Altus Park City and future housing at Utah Olympic Park together represent approximately 1,425 planned or allowed residences around Kimball Junction.

Utah’s dining scene is officially on the MICHELIN map—and Park City has plenty to celebrate. 🍽️

Handle, Matilda, and The Nelson Cottage by High West have each been named MICHELIN Recommended in the inaugural 2026 MICHELIN Guide American Southwest.

And in another historic first, Monte in South Salt Lake earned Utah’s first-ever MICHELIN Star.

Three Park City favorites, one very exciting milestone, and another reason to love where we live.

Park City Mountain is going “Larger Than Life.” ⛷️❄️

The resort has unveiled a new brand platform, replacing the familiar “This Is Your Mountain” with “Larger Than Life.”

The new campaign celebrates the scale, energy and experiences that make Park City Mountain… well, pretty darn big. All 7,300 acres of it.

With its Olympic legacy, unmistakable place in Park City’s history and another Winter Games on the horizon in 2034, it’s an interesting new chapter for the mountain.
