Good evening Pirate Families, Superintendent Mayer here with our first weather announcement of the year.

Due to road conditions, Verndale Public School will be starting two hours late tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26th. This two-hour late start will allow time for road crews to clear routes and provide daylight for our bus drivers, staff, and students.

There will not be Pirate Care in the morning.

School will begin at 10:10 a.m. Buses will run approximately two hours later than their normal pick-up times.

First winter blast to hit the area. If traveling for Thanksgiving, verify road conditions before you depart and have winter survival kit in vehicle. Listen to local radio for Weather updates.

Falling and blowing snow will lead to impacts today into this evening, particularly from the through southern Red River Valley, into west-central Minnesota. The heaviest snow rates and strongest winds will be in the southern valley this afternoon.
