Ranking the 9 houses from Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood! And this list is only if I HAVE to nitpick to rank them cause frankly they all were amazing!

I used a heart rate monitor to find out which Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2026 houses are the scariest. And which is number 1

There are 8 mazes at HHN Hollywood and I went through all with a fitness heart rate monitor graphing my peaks. The mazes are Sinners, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Ozzy Ozbourne, Stranger Things 5, Dead Deader Deadest, Killceanera, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, and Terror Tram with Art the Clown.

I did my best to not spoil big moments and incredible set pieces.

Halloween Horror Nights is now open select nights through November 1. I used express to do all of them and highly recommend it.

Please do not film in mazes. I went to opening day and some of us were lucky enough to have permission to film. Respect the scare actors!

What could have been so stupid was self aware, energetic, playful, a vibe, and so full of life and some scares. Also there’s a massive 22 inch Battle Bus hot dog that I ordered without blinking to go with my Slurp Juice

I did the $500 Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour and it changed me. The RIP Tour is Universal’s guided VIP experience where a small group gets escorted straight past the general admission line into every haunted house on the route, no waiting, no standing behind a thousand people in the Florida heat. You get a pre tour reception, reserved seating for the shows, valet parking, and a guide who walks you through the design and gore of every house while you skip to the front. Universal actually added a shorter 5 house version this year starting around $300 if you want the skip the line experience without going all in on the full 10 house tour. If you love immersive horror and hate waiting in line more than you hate spending money, follow along because I’m ranking every haunted house we hit. Would you ever pay this much to skip the line?

I adored this experience and think the fun, convenience, and depth make it worth the money if you can afford it!

I took the kinda secret daytime version of Halloween Horror Nights called Behind the Screams, Unmasking the Horror. Same houses, lights fully on, scare actors off duty, and a guide walking you room by room explaining how every effect, sound cue and jump scare is actually built. No fog, no darkness, no heart attack, just the machinery behind the nightmare.

There are two options. The 3 house tour starts around $99 and runs about 2 to 2.5 hours, the 6 house tour starts around $199, both include a buffet lunch and it’s the closest thing to a backstage pass this event has ever offered.

If you’re the type who loves horror but hates jump scares, or you just want to understand how they pull this off, follow along, I’m covering more theatrical experiences most people have no idea exist.
