My dad worked on Take My Hand in the sound department. While filming one of the scenes with Raysean and his mother Sheila, my dad walks up to me and whispers, “Wow. She sounds just like your mother.” Now, maybe it’s the writing, maybe it’s the directing, but ultimately major shout out to shining star for embodying such a pivotal role so flawlessly! I’ve been told that some of the best stories out there are the best because they’re rooted in some truth at some point.
