In the wake of all the recent violence and with the lack of opportunities to host more free public Film & Forum events due to the pandemic, we have decided to make our documentary film, "PASADENA: Exploring Solutions To Reduce Gang Violence", available free for streaming! Now, everyone can finally watch and take from this powerful project from absolutely anywhere there's an internet connection! Witness over 30 compelling interviews from local residents, activists, and service providers whom have been greatly impacted by the culture of gang-related violence in our community! Though this film is all about Pasadena, the subject matter and solutions discussed in this documentary can be applicable across our entire nation. We produced this film with no budget, no intentions on making a profit, and no interest in becoming "filmmakers". We did this project because those impacted most by the violence in our city are rarely a part of community discussions that explore solutions. These are just a handful of stories and experiences that had to be shared if we are to truly understand the issue. So, I challenge each and every one of you to watch this film and then respond with something you have learned or something that personally stood out to you the most. I know that dirty campaigning in this mayoral election is doing a great job of dividing our community, but regardless of what happens, we all must be willing to work together for the betterment of our city, our neighborhoods, our families, and ourselves. Thank you to everyone who has made this film possible and to everyone who has shown support. I love you all!
