What year is it?!

New loading screen just dropped in Pokémon GO for the Forever Forward season.

If you were playing Pokémon GO during it's initial release back in 2016 this should look very familiar. Happy 10th anniversary Pokémon GO!

This loading screen features Gyarados, Magikarp, and a trainer on a pier catching Pokémon. Who's that Pokémon in the sky?

Super Mega Falinks Raid Day

The first Super Mega Raids since GO Tour are going down this Saturday. Mega Falinks is a brand new Mega Pokémon first available in Pokémon Legends Z-A and now coming to Pokémon GO for the first time.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Super Mega Raids require 8+ trainers to break through shields to defeat the boss. The only way to break through the shields is to use a shield breaker charged move on your Mega Pokémon.

You MUST bring a Mega evolved Pokémon into these battles, or you'll waste your time and raid passes!

Don't forget to revive and heal your Mega of choice in between raids!

Mega Falinks is not meta-relevant, but these are still very worth doing to gain access to a Mega level 4 Fighting-type (extra candy XL when catching fighting Pokémon!).

Dynamax Registeel is the latest addition to the Max Battle roster in Pokémon GO!

🗓️ May 18 - 24, 2026

This pure-Steel type has massive defensive capabilities. Between its defense stat of 285 and huge resistance pool, Dynamax Registeel is a great tank.

That being said, we already have access to the powerful Crowned Shield Zamazenta, so Registeel is not necessarily a must-have.

It does Flying and Psychic moves, two resistances that Zamazenta lacks, giving it some niche tanking possibilities.

With Ice-type powerhouses like Kyurem Fusions available, Mega Glalie is just a Dex entry. That said, we have had periods when Glalie wasn't available for over a year, so get at least 200 Mega Energy if you don't already have one.

Pheromosa: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India
Xurkitree: Asia-Pacific

Xurkitree is the only one with meta-relevance, but they all have great shiny variants in my opinion.
