- “Pokémon Horizons: The Series” Celebration Event begins, 10 AM (through Tue 9/22)
- Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles debuts

- Zamazenta in five-star raids
- Mega Venusaur in Mega Raids

- Spotlight Hour: Charmander w/ Goggles, 6–7 PM (2× Catch Stardust)

Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom are getting buffed!

Both of these Mega Pokémon are gaining access to Mega Level 4 and their third charged move, significantly boosting their damage output.

Mega Beedrill: September 8-15
Mega Houndoom: September 11-15

Fell Stinger+ and Dark Pulse+ increase in damage the higher your Mega Level boosting these Pokémon to the top of their attacker-by-type rankings.

Armored Mewtwo is back for the first time since 2020. Should you raid it?

Announced during the closing ceremony at Pokémon Worlds 2026 in San Francisco, CA, Armored Mewtwo will be in 5-star raids during the Mega Finale on September 5th and 6th.

There is one catch: it still cannot be shiny.

It's power is suppressed by armor, so Armored Mewtwo has a lower maximum CP than normal Mewtwo. In a raid setting, attack stat is more important than bulk, so Armored Mewtwo is not useful in raids when you have access to normal, Mega, or even Shadow Mewtwo.

This is still a rare Pokémon that probably won't come back for years to come, so I'll be raiding it for my collection and remote trade folder.

Armored Mewtwo joins the fray!

Here's the Mega Finale raid schedule in Pokémon GO 👇🏻

The Pokémon GO Mega Finale features many of the previously released Mega Pokémon, including initially Super Mega Raids now available in normal Mega Raids.

The available raids will rotate every hour across four habitats and eight hours. This means each habitat will be active twice.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

Mega Mewtwo X in Super Mega Raids (at certain Gyms only)
Armored Mewtwo in 5-star raids (shiny NOT available)

10am - 11am and 2pm - 3pm

The Mega Finale is ramping up with Mega Ascension. This event brings daily Mega Raids with a special background and a new GO Pass.

All trainers will get a GO Pass on Monday, August 31 at 10 am local time that will reward Mega Energy for one of your choice of the Kalos starters.
