⚔️ KING OF THE HILL. 9-BALL ⚔️

David beats Albin.
David beats Naoyuki.
David beats Jeffrey De Luna.
David beats Duong Quoc Hoang.

Next up... Robbie Capito.

Hypothetical heads-up race to 100 in WNT 9-Ball.

On one side, you've got David Alcaide. One of Spain's most accomplished players and a veteran who's been competing at the highest level for years. Known for his tactical precision, and calm decision-making under pressure, he's the kind of player who can quietly take control of a match before you even realize it.

On the other, Robbie Capito. He's been putting together some serious results on the international stage, most recently finishing 1st runner-up at the US Open. Known for his aggressive style, fearless shot-making, and ability to perform under pressure, Capito has shown he can go deep against the best in the world.

Who are you backing?

What's the final score?

100–98?
100–90?
100–75?

🧤 GLOVE OR BAREHAND? 🤚

Which are you more comfortable playing with?

There are plenty of players who prefer the smooth, consistent slide of a glove, especially when playing for a long session or dealing with humidity. Then there are players who stick with powder and prefer the feel of their hand directly on the cloth.

Neither one is really “better” across the board. A lot of it comes down to what you're used to, the conditions you're playing in, and what gives you the most comfortable bridge.

Up until recently I was a "generic" glove guy. No brand. Just amazon gloves. The reason? - Most gloves wear out so fast. I went from trying every big name brand glove on the market and wearing through them in a couple months each. Then I signed with Cue Armour after trying their products, and let me tell you- That glove has lasted me a lot longer than every other name brand glove I've used over the years, and still plays very well. Normally there would be seams opening up, and I'd have moved on by now. I'm still going strong with my first one. I highly suggest checking out their gloves.

🤸‍♂️ BE HONEST… DO YOU STRETCH BEFORE PLAYING? 🤸‍♂️

I’m curious how many of us actually do.

We all should… change my mind. 😂

That doesn’t mean we do, though. I definitely don’t, considering my own view on this lol.

Most of us probably just grab the cue, chalk up, and start hitting balls. Then somewhere halfway through the session, your back, shoulder, or neck starts reminding you that you’re not 22 anymore. 😂

So what’s your routine?

Do you actually stretch before you play, or do you just start shooting and hope your body figures it out?

🎯 PLAY SAFE OR PULL THE TRIGGER? 🎯

If you’re in this position with your last ball frozen on the rail, what are you choosing?

You can play it safe by hitting the object ball thin, leaving it on the same rail while sending the cue ball to the opposite rail. This could lead to a safety battle where the cue ball goes back and forth, or your opponent might have a chance to go for a bank shot.

Or… you can pull the trigger and try to make it with the right amount of spin. But if you overdo it or underdo the spin, there’s a higher percentage of missing it. Worse, if you don’t hit the ball at all, that’s ball in hand for your opponent.

Not an easy decision.

Are you playing safe here, or going for the shot? 👇

💥 HAVE YOU EVER DAMAGED YOUR CUE? 💥

Miscuing and catching the rail wrong? Breaking a little too hard? Or... smashing the cue because the frustration got the better of you? 😅

Cues can take a lot, but sometimes one bad moment is all it takes. A dent, cracked shaft, damaged ferrule, broken tip... we've probably all seen something happen at the pool hall.

Have you ever damaged your cuestick? What happened?

Miscue, break, or pure frustration? 👇 Got pictures?
