Things that live here now: Pair of C12’s

These are “Pape” C12s made in the 80’s from spare AKG parts including original Brass Capsules. They’ve quickly become favorites over here.

Though there are nice modern versions of C12s out there, I tend to be shy about any sort of “remake”. But of course, I can’t really afford the $25k AKG branded originals. These really hit a sweet spot in performance, uniqueness and cost. I also feel a freedom to play around with the internals in a way I wouldn’t with the originals.

Wonderful little guitar full of vintage vibe. Plays well and in tune. These were originally made for gut strings - silk and steals on it now.

Has had lots of work done over the years, as is common. I was able to play several of these and this one was my clear favorite. Happy to send details to interested buyers.
