As many of you know, John has been bravely battling a lung disease for some time. Unfortunately, his health took a serious turn for the worse in late August. Recognizing that something was wrong, he sought help and arrived at the Stanford emergency room with difficulty breathing. He was immediately admitted for treatment.
During his care, doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs and lower extremities. They mentioned the possibility of a lung transplant, a moment filled with emotion for John. He was later transferred to UCSF, where he was placed in the ICU. Within a week, he underwent a thorough evaluation process, including numerous tests and assessments of his support system. Thankfully, he passed these evaluations due to his overall health and the extensive support from friends and family.
Just two days after being placed on the transplant list, John was on the operating table. By the grace of God, he had a successful surgery and is now on the road to recovery.
Many of you have reached out asking how you can help. After careful consideration, John has decided to organize a fundraising event to assist with medical expenses.
To give you an overview of the recovery process: John will spend one week in the ICU for close observation, followed by another week in a regular hospital room. After that, he will remain in San Francisco for six weeks, attending daily doctor appointments and physical therapy.
We understand that times are tough for many, so any contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Please contact myself as other arrangements can be made. Thank you to everyone who has offered support during this challenging time. We are committed to getting John back home as soon as he is healthy enough to do so.

Hey Bearcats! Tonight is the ‘Meet and Greet’ in Paso Robles at big Bubbas restaurant between five and seven. A casual get together before tomorrow’s main event. 🚨 Urgent Call to Action: Volunteers Needed for Our 40th Reunion! 🚨

Hey Bearcats! Class of 1984,

Our 40th reunion is just a few weeks away, and we’re getting down to the wire! We need a few more hands on deck to ensure everything runs smoothly and that the night is as memorable as possible. We have some important areas that need your help:

1. Memorabilia Table Setup ✅
We’re creating a special table to honor those who have gone before us. If you have a knack for organizing or have memorabilia you'd like to contribute, we’d love your help setting this up.

2. Centerpieces Coordinator✅
We need someone to take charge of creating and placing the centerpieces for the tables. If you have an eye for design or just enjoy crafting, this is the perfect task for you!

3. Bearcat Table Coordinator🔺
Help us create a Bearcat table that celebrates our school spirit! This table will include sports memories, high school yearbooks, and senior memorabilia. If you’re passionate about our school history, we’d love for you to lead this.

4. Decorating Team ✅
We need volunteers to help with decorating the venue. If you enjoy transforming spaces and creating a festive atmosphere, we could really use your creativity!

5. Set-Up Crew🔺
Are you available to help with setting up the event? We’ll need help getting everything ready before the festivities begin.

6. Breakdown Crew🔺
When the party’s over, we’ll need a team to help with the breakdown and clean-up. If you can stick around to lend a hand, we’d greatly appreciate it!

The time to register for our 40th reunion on September 28th is now! It will be exciting to see everyone. We have a planned gathering at Cal Coast Brewery that includes private space/food/music/dancing/etc. (no host bar). To facilitate this gathering, we need at least 50 people to sign up at https://myevent.com/PRHS84. The cost is $75 p/person. If we don't get 50 people to sign up by August 15th, we will need to consider other options. So if you are reading this post and planning on attending, SIGN UP!
