You might be one of the most well-traveled, safety-minded people in the world, but travelers especially are at a risk of getting hacked, identities stolen and potentially falling for clever scams.

Scammers and hackers are getting smarter these days.

Admittedly, I'm not a morning person. But when I'm out on the road, there's nothing I love more than waking up before the sun and catching first light over mountains and deserts.

Here's an early morning sunrise from a couple weeks ago in the desert outside San Diego. And yes, that sunlight is real (not a radial filter, haha)!

Are you Team Sunrise or Team Sunset? 🙋‍♂️

↠ Driving these classic cars through Paso Robles on California's central coast was just what I needed. From high coastal lookouts to windy backroads through rolling hills, stepping your foot on the gas (or in this case, the battery) was so cathartic.⠀

It reminded me of all the international travel we're not doing right now, but it also reminded me that there are plenty of adventures to be had nearby.⠀

Canossa Events brought a taste of Emilia-Romagna to California—with amazing wine, slow food, beautiful scenery and vintage cars, it felt like I was driving through the Italian countryside, not California!⠀

Monterey Touring Vehicles provided us with both a Shelby Cobra and a Tesla Roadster for the weekend—which one would you pick? 🏎

The TravelFreak Story

My name is Jeremy and I’ve been traveling almost full-time since 2010. I seek adventure in every circumstance as I unearth the greatest and most rewarding cultural experiences I can.

That fateful year, just one year out of college, I gave up the ordinary life in search of something slightly more unusual. I quit my job, booked a flight to the other side of the world, and never looked back.

You don’t have to do it the same way I did, but if you want to travel, there is always a way. I made a judgment call, and years later I can safely say it was the best decision of my life.

My first trip abroad—a six-month journey to Australia—ended up lasting almost four years. And now, years later, I’m still traveling, still thriving, and still exploring other countries.
