I never thought of myself as the person that would post something like this, but life happens. Many have asked why I have been taking so long between episodes. Well, "2020" I don't have to explain. Then we moved and had to adjust to our new lives. Most recently, I have been in the midst of cancer battles amongst the most important loved ones in my life (my mother and Larry my life partner) both at the same time.
I don't know about other creatives out there, but being able to tap into my creative state of mind under these circumstances has been difficult to say the least. It has been nonexistent. We have all been fighting this battle together with a very optimistic outlook the entire time, and things are now looking bright! My mother is now considered cancer free, and Larry's lymphoma has dramatically minimized to the point that he is practically back to normal. His doctor called him "the poster child for someone that is doing VERY VERY WELL" with his treatments and progress.
I am not surprised that I am suddenly inspired to work on Wine Unicorn again after receiving all of these news. I am not making their situation about me. They are my biggest supporters when it comes to Wine Unicorn, so this is in honor of them because they are excited that I am back to work on the show. After all of this is over, I promise that Wine Unicorn will be coming back bigger, stronger, and more magical than ever. The moral of the story is, "When life gives us lemons, we make lemonade, lemon pie, and lemon syrup vodka drinks! We even buy fun shirts with lemon prints and wear them with pride." After all, sometimes we need the sour to justify the sweet.
