HISTORY

Since 1999, the Help Build Hope program has produced over 1,800 homes. That means over 1,300 families are in homes they can afford because of the generosity of people like you! That is truly amazing!

OUR MISSION

We are about Building Partnerships, Building Relationships, Building Community and Building Homes. We accomplish this in Partnership with Churches, Companies, and Schools and with Habitat for Humanity and Fuller Centers for Housing.

“ Help Build Hope has been the cornerstone of new house building for Fuller Center covenant partners throughout the US. Their partnering with churches and organizations to provide wall packages for our new home building program has been one of our biggest resources. The value of their partnership has been a significant part of our ability to keep moving forward in providing housing solutions for low-income families.”

— Brenda Barton Director of US Covenant Partner Support
WHAT WE'VE ACHIEVED IN 2025
In 2025, Help Build Hope engaged more than 7,500 volunteers through 61 events, resulting in 78 sets of walls built across 16 states. These walls were provided to over 20 partner organizations—including Habitat for Humanity, Appalachian Service Project, and the Fuller Center for Housing—who transformed them into complete homes, offering safe, stable, and affordable housing for families in need, including those who had suffered catastrophic loss from natural disasters.

Pataskala Meats celebrates 10 years in Operation

The seeds for the creation of Pataskala Meats were planted almost 30 years ago at Ashbrook Stock Farms in Alexandria, Ohio when Kirk Hall and his father-in-law Albert Ashbrook raised sheep and sold them directly to ethnic customers at the farm. At that time a small slaughterhouse was used in an old hog barn, barely with running water, to provide a place for ethnic people to pick out and process their own food. Freezer meat was also raised on the farm; beef, pork, and lamb, and taken to other butcher shops to be processed into local food for customers.

Demand for sheep and lamb was growing, but the old facilities did not meet the State of Ohio food safety standards, so the State shut down their operation.

In 2011 Kirk Hall purchased the 5-acre tract of land on Broad Street in Pataskala in the hope that he could afford to build a butcher shop that would cater to everyone and provide a high-profile location for locally sourced fresh meat and farm to table products.

It took almost 5 years to complete the project and Pataskala Meats opened in 2016 and is a now a proud hometown marketplace.
