My name is Alexandra Benjamin and I am the founder of Alexandra Cheesecakes. My business is a locally owned wholesale cheesecake company out of Houma, Louisiana that originated in my Hometown of Patterson, Louisiana. to your favorite
grocery/convenient stores every week. I am 23 and I started baking cheesecake when I was in 8th grade. I would definitely say that my love for cheesecakes came from my grandmother; as for some holidays she would make this box cheesecake mix from the store that you prepare and chill. My mom would also following in doing this as well while I was growing up. So when I was in the 8th grade I bought my first cookbook from my junior high book fair, which was a Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese book. This book offered different appetizers, dinners, and deserts. From there I baked my first cheesecake, which was an Oreo cheesecake. I continued to venture and bake other things at the time but it seemed to me that I would always fall back to cheesecake. As the years passed I would bake cheesecakes for different family members, friends, classmates and also teachers at my high school. Over the next few years I would continue taking personal orders here and there and at the same time changing this recipe completely and making it my own by an enormous amount of trial and error. This taught me so much about my product that’s has enabled me to be able to withstand the volume aspect of the wholesale industry. I can definitely say it has taken me over the course of 7 years to perfect my recipe and my craft to be able to do what I am doing today. I am currently servicing 42 locations and counting. God is just getting started with me and my small business will soon be a house hold name that the entire world knows about. I offer a 10 flavor variety of individually packed slices that are shuffled to different retailers every week. My goal is to simply provide a delicious variety of “premium hand crafted cheesecake” to your homes as easy as going to your favorite local grocery store and or convenient store. There isn’t a need anymore to make a special dinner reservation or an hour trip to some fancy cheesecake spot to have a nice quality slice of cheesecake. Since 2019 my company has been sending a wide variety of flavor intense cheesecake slices to different retailers ranging from Gentilly, Turtle, Coconut Cream, Strawberry Shortcake and many more. My story is still being written and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what Alexandra Cheesecakes is all about.
