Power League Wrestling

Power League Wrestling Wrestled to help charities in Southern New England. Now we're just resting. Since 1994, we've helped over 50 different charities.

When it started in 1991, Power League Wrestling was a group of 14 - 25 year-olds who performed for its public access television show. Today, PLW is a not-for-profit independent wrestling organization that uses family friendly pro-wrestling to raise funds for charities in southern New England. The wrestling shows are geared to fans of all ages. Wrestling styles from the mid-to-late 1980's ("showbiz

" and "tough-talk" without the cursing and extreme violence). Our shows are designed to impress the everyday follower of pro wrestling, and to entertain the occasional viewer. The people who make up Power League Wrestling take pride in what they do. The wrestlers and the organization do not perform for money; they perform to help the charities. All of the money collected from ticket sales goes to the charity. The wrestlers and the organization donate their time to help in a unique way. We've got a closet full of videotapes with matches that haven't been uploaded to YouTube. So how about, every now and then, we grab an old VHS or HI-8 tape, pop it into a device that I hope still works and we watch a livestream of an old PLW event? Heck, you don't have to watch it live (technically it's not live anyway), but instead can watch it whenever you want because we'll archive the livestream, too.

Oh, and it's been so long that I can't log into the original PLW YT channel so I made another... www.youtube.com/

So I'm thinking, the month of May traditionally was Power-Fest month, so maybe we start with Power-Fest 2004 which took place twenty years ago this week. So join us (or just me, who knows) this Thursday evening at 8pm for a livestream of Power-Fest 2004.

Thanks for reading this entire post. You may resume watching your cat videos, or cinnamon challenges, or whatever people are doing these days.

Saddened to hear the about the passing of Rob Johnson, known to wrestling fans as Travis Savage. His unique personality was certainly on display whenever in the ring or on camera. He loved to entertain.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jarod Hall, known to wrestling fans across New England as Kid Krazy. Jarod started wrestling at a very young age and was once billed as "the world's youngest professional wrestler." He was known for his daring aerobatics in the ring (photo #2 snapped while Krazy was in mid-air performing a swanton in December 2001). Jarod appeared on many PLW events from 1999 to 2009. He was the first ever PLW Lightweight champion, defeating five other wrestlers in a Pier 6 Brawl to win the title on September 26, 2000. Four years later Kid Krazy would win the PLW New England championship.

Sad news to pass along. Mark McCormick, known to Power League Wrestling fans as Atomic Mark, passed away yesterday. He appeared in PLW from 1993 through 1995. Along with his tag team partner, H-Bomb, he won the PLW tag team championship twice. Mark also designed and created the championship belts that were used by the tag team champs and PLW champion during the mid-1990’s.

Deadly Alliance (H-Bomb & Atomic Mark), PLW Tag Team Champions.
