I finished "Is This Heaven?" this morning. 16 x 20 inches oil on panel.

I'm often asked, "Have you ever tried painting what you experienced during your Near Death-like Experience?" This painting should now help answer some of those questions!

The truth is, we don't have the color palette here in mortality of what our spiritual eyes can see there-- Colors beyond words. In my feeble attempt, all I can really do is try to capture a spiritual quality.

One of my most favorite places to go in the world, hands down, is a simple and serene wilderness aspen grove. This scene was inspired from a visit to Silver Lake Flat in American Fork Canyon, Utah a few years back.

When I find myself in such a beautiful place in our natural world, I often feel closer to the Creator. In such a place, I'll often reflect back to an experience I had many years ago in a similar space-- an experience so personal and so sacred.
Since that precious moment in time, an aspen Grove has become a sacred place of meditation and prayer, which helps transport my inner being away from the stressful noise and anxiety of our busy and often stressful life. .com

In this sacred space, I can rediscover who God is and who I am!
