Through a trusted ministry contact, we were able to provide copies of the Gospel Transforming Bible published by Crossway to young leaders in Uzbekistan.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, international Christian workers have been able to enter Central Asia, and thousands have come to know the Lord. Yet hundreds of thousands still haven’t heard about Jesus’ love, forgiveness, and salvation.

Local leaders hope to see churches grow healthy and self-sustaining, with regular gatherings, biblically grounded sermons, and communities that understand the Bible as one unified story.

They long to see families and lives transformed by God’s Word. We hope to send more resources to support them, but getting Bibles and training materials into this post-Soviet city is a real challenge.

We are thankful to have partnered with Action Cambodia to distribute these books to pastors across Cambodia.

Many pastors, especially in rural areas, serve faithfully with very limited financial resources. Purchasing theological books is often simply out of reach. On top of that, Christian resources in Khmer language are still relatively rare, making it even harder for pastors to access the materials they need for study, preaching, and discipleship.

That is why partnerships like this matter. By working together, we can help place solid Christian books into the hands of pastors who are eager to grow and better serve their churches.

We are grateful to play a small role in supporting the church in Cambodia and thankful for partners like Action Cambodia who help make this possible.

Christianbook International Outreach provided three books to each delegate at the 6th APTEA Triennial Conference, held in Lomé, Togo, February 17–19, 2026. During the congress, Managing Director Craig Stoll presented the books to the delegates, including a title by Craig Keener.

The conference gathered 169 registered delegates from 33 countries, including participants from 30 African nations, as well as the United States, Canada, and England.

Association for Pentecostal Theological Education in Africa exists to promote the mission of God in Africa by facilitating and ensuring excellence in member institutions of higher learning through the assessment and recognition of academic programs and operational systems, faculty development, institutional enrichment, and scholarly writing.

This partnership is important for Christianbook International Outreach because it helps us connect with theological schools across Africa and provide books for their libraries.

"Do Africans read?"

I get this question more than you'd think. Let me show you the answer.

This is what an African Bible Commentary looks like after being in the hands of pastors and seminary students. Worn pages. Broken spine. Passed between brothers. Studied by lamplight. Preached from Sunday after Sunday.

When we provide books that speak to their context and meet their theological needs, they don't just get read - they get DEVOURED.

This isn't a book sitting on a shelf. This is a tool being used to build God's kingdom across Africa. This is what happens when we stop assuming and start listening. When we provide resources at the right level that answer real questions.

Every worn page represents sermons preached, disciples made, churches strengthened.

This is why Christianbook International Outreach exists. This is why we're sending containers with 22,000 books to 40 theological schools. Because the hunger is real. The need is massive. And the impact is eternal.

The question isn't "Do Africans read?"

Have you ever seen 20,000 books? We just received our shipment of the second edition of the Africa Bible Commentary, published by our friends at Langham Publishing. This is an incredibly popular resource that is regularly requested by our partners on the field.

Please pray with us as we work on getting them out to partners on the field where they will serve pastors and leaders as they study and preach God's Word.

Let's not forget that these 20,000 books will eventually equip 20,000 pastors throughout Africa. That's potentially 20,000 congregations hearing better-equipped biblical teaching.

Sunday morning outside Yaoundé, Cameroon. I met this father and his young son, and what shocked me was discovering how completely out of reach a Bible is for him. Someone from France had just given him this Gospel of John—his only Scripture. He treasures it, reads it daily, savoring every word. "I really want a full Bible," he told me, "but I cannot afford it."

This is the reality for 100-200 million Christians across Africa who don't own a Bible. Imagine pastors borrowing fragments of Scripture just to prepare sermons. Entire congregations sharing a single copy—if they're fortunate enough to have one.

In French-speaking Africa—Senegal, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, and beyond—Bibles are either completely unavailable or cost an entire week's salary. Conflict and instability have stripped many believers of the few Bibles they had.

This father and son represent millions waiting for God's complete Word.
